I’ll probably get blacklisted for this…

I’ve asked this question before. I asked: Can We Do More?

As November draws ever closer, I wonder, should I buy the body armor or book the scuba diving vacation in Florida? (they have the Stand Your Ground law, let’s show our support!)

We have two years to prepare. Should I prepare for the best, or the worst?

There is dissention in the ranks. I see Conservative against Republican, Moderates against Religious Right. Some would even forego voting in this coming election to allow for some Republican losses for the sake of bringing in new conservative blood or forcing some mid-liners a little more to the right. Then there are those among us who feel that the loss of momentum is too high a price to pay.

So where will this go? I feel that it can’t go directly to victory. A house divided against itself shall not stand.

And this comes at a really bad time. We have the liberal sociopaths (oops, I mean socialists) on the defensive. If not on the run. They’ve messed up big-time lately and I think that if we make some decisive moves, we can make up a great deal of what has been lost over the past 40 years. Not to mention the new ground to be gained and the guarantee of no further major damage from the leftistas.

But we must stand together. What will it be? Giuliani? Some of you praise him, some of you tell me he is a lib in conservative guise. Some would rather just eat worms. Pass the ketchup. Some say a RINO or two is a small price to pay for a majority in the houses while some say RINO’s will be our undoing.

Is Townhall the litmus test for the Conservative movement? I don’t think it’s impossible. There is a great deal of diversity here despite our common values. But I can say this, now is not the time to be fighting amongst ourselves. All we need is one third-party candidate and all of our hopes could possibly go down the drain. They’ll just pull a Ross and leave us high and dry. No thank you. We’ve already had 8 years under President Hillary, do we really want more?

I listen to your arguments with an open mind and a willing heart. I respect a great deal of you very much. It’s obvious that you have more knowledge and experience than I. So I turn to you. But each has his own way. You don’t confuse me. I see that you all basically want to the same thing. But as one would go one way to save time and cost, (so to speak) someone else would go another way to save resources and momentum. Each has merit and both have the same goal. But we’re back to square one. When it comes down to it, we’re still a house divided.

Something needs to be done. What? Maybe one of you big boys can set up a poll, we all here at Townhall cast our votes, and whatever the outcome, we go out en-masse, a united front, and take the elections by storm!! Or maybe you have a better idea. I’m open for anything that will unite us.

I hear many of you gripe about our wishy-washy candidates. How Bush is weak on this or that issue. Well, let’s show everyone that we’re not wishy-washy. Can we not take a stand? How can we demand that our leaders reach a consensus when we ourselves cannot?

Maybe I’m just naïve. If so, please forgive me. And heaven knows I’m ignorant of a great many things! But I see nothing but potential here at Townhall. It is my heartfelt belief that there are several of you here, who could pull this off. (or something better even)  So…

What say you? Once again I ask; Can we do more?
